Gtx 750 ti to gtx 1070

Yes you will be more than fine going with that card. Also getting EVGA cards (if you are not aware) you will also be apart of their step-up program. When new GPU's come out through EVGA, they often will give you them at discounted prices by turning in your old one or showing proof of purchase.

oh i had no clue about this! thank you for letting me know.
I take it this only applies to my 1070 ( if i end picking it up ) and not the 750 ti i have atm ( msi )

I will be upgrading my whole build,
but atm i got,

CPU: i5-2300 ( not sure ) ( going to probably get ryzen when benchmarks are in )
GPU: GTX 750 ti 2gb - upgrading now
RAM: 16GB DDR3 2400MHz - upgrading when i get my new motherboard
OS: Win 10 64,
Monitor: Packard Bell Maestro 222ws 1 1920 x 1080 monitor - getting a second one next month or something
Motherboard: basic one that came with computer. - upgrading at the same time as my cpu, so probably next month or when ryzen 5 comes out.
PSU : not sure but i think its around 400w. getting EVGA SuperNOVA 550 GS this week or another if i find a better one. not too knowledgeable about psus

Here is some more detail on it straight from EVGA's website. Unfortunately it's too late for the 750 Ti based on it's age, and because of it being MSI. They do have to be EVGA branded. Normally it's 90 days after the initial purchase as well.

Unless you plan on getting the R7 Ryzen CPU's the R5 and R3 series won't be out until Q2 and 2H respectively. So it will be a bit longer for them to come out. If you plan on getting an upgrade here soon getting a Skylake CPU will be your quickest option.

yep, i will need to see what i will do.
i've been thinking about maybe picking up the R7 but im not too sure yet. because usually you don't ned an i7 for gaming and since the R7 is pretty much an better version of the i7 it comes down to the same. so yeah. i will need to research if the R7 is great for gaming or if that the R5 is enough

So apparently i didn't count with the taxes. which made it go from 420 to 500.. 80$ taxes is crazy so i decided to buy somewhere else,
anyone got an personal opinion on the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G ? i'm going to order it now. but wanted to hear some opinion, maybe there is stuff i don't know about it that i should.
