I got this new GTX 770 and I installed it on my rig. Then 30mins after I install all the drivers and do a benchmark on the card. It was gives my pc monitor black screen and the fans on the card went to 100% after I got black screen. When I forced shiogun with the button on my pc and tried to restart my pc it gives me no signal on my monitor (black screen) and the fans go to 100% again until I shut off the PC. It's very weird and haven't come across anyone with the same problem. (Maybe the card is faulty?)

Please any help will he much appreciated

Remove graphics card and see if PC works. Make sure your psu can support graphics card. If it turns on without GPU, remove all drivers and try again. If the same thing happens - reutrn the card.

My PC works with my older card fine. But everytime I put in the new one It just gives me black screen and the fans go 100%

I sorted the problem on another thread. I think I have sorted it, I had a problem with my PSU and the slot I had the card in. Hopefully should all be fixed later tonight! :bounce:

Hey Trimax, can I ask how did you figure it was the psu and the slot?
I have the same problem, I have a 850w PSU, tried all sorts of things, wasn't able to pinpont the problem yet...

I just put my GPU in the top (PCIE slot) and it booted without black screening etc. Another problem could be that the GPU is not getting enough power or amps through your +12rail from your PSU. Make sure you have the right cables plugged into the GPU and also try to upgrade your bios to the latest version so everything is upto date.

Your motherboard could always not support the GPU so check that aswell!

Hope this helps!
