So for the last 4 months i have had a Zotac GTX 770 AMP! 2GB, i have been using an HDMI cable to attach it to my Acer G246HL monitor capable of 60Hz at 1920x1080p.
Over night (Less than 10 hours of being turned off) The monitor is not recognized by the HDMI connection from the graphics card to the monitor, and is recognized instead as a "Generic non PnP Monitor" using a 1024x768 resolution with no other options.
I have spent a good 5 hours uninstalling/re-installing drivers (v337.88) and even did a system restore to some time yesterday to see if it fixed it.
The only solution i had was using a VGA/DVI adapter to attach the PC (By the GPU) to the monitor, and here it was able to recognize my monitor again and use 1920x1080p.
I was wondering why over the span of 10 hours the HDMI port suddenly doesn't recognize the monitor, but yet still displays an image at 1024x768.
