gtx 770 or r9 280x ????

hello..i am from india..i want to know that in between r9 280x and gtx 770,which is better...i dont want to overclock..plz also suggest which brand (asus,msi,gigabyte etc) will be better..

GTX770's on average perform a bit better than R9 280x's.

Go with R9 280X
They are neck to neck in performance while there is ~6-10K price difference between different variants of two cards.
I have HIS 280X and it maxes out all games at 1080P

Great advice. The 770 also gives you the option of buying a Gsync monitor later on.

Agreed, G-sync is so close to coming out and can be enjoyed in the near future is a big plus if OP is willing to upgrade monitor after GPU.

the 280x is better half the time and the 770 is better half the time, the price difference means you should get the 280x

It's not all about FPS and price. The 770 will outperform the 280X in MOST games anyway.
