Hey, I have a PC build that I'm using right now for gaming and light productivity, the specs are as follows:

  • Specs:
    EVGA GTX 780
    Gibabyte 990FXA-UD3
    FX-8350 @ 4.52 GHz
    Corsair H110i GT Liquid Cooler
    Corsair Air 540
    Patriot 16GB DDR3 4x4 kit @ 1600MHz
    Corsair RM850 PSU
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

I am planning on building another PC soon to use for LAN events. It will be in the Mini-ITX form factor and the planned specs are as follows:

  • PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Lv6C8K

    Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
CRYORIG C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard
    Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Zotac GeForce GTX 960 4GB AMP! Edition Video Card
Silverstone Sugo SG13B Mini ITX Tower Case
SeaSonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit
    AOC i2367Fh 23.0" 60Hz Monitor
Razer DeathAdder Chroma Wired Optical Mouse
SteelSeries Siberia 200 Gaming Headset - Black (formerly Siberia v2)
    HAVIT HV-KB366L
    Hitachi 1TB HDD

My main question is, Should I put my more powerful GTX 780 in the new build that has the i5-6500 or should I keep it where it is? If the i5-6500 is a more powerful CPU then I think it would be a good idea to pair the more powerful CPU and GPU together. What do you guys think? Also, if there are any suggestions about the build feel free to share. I'm really interested in what people think about it before I build it.

Thank you for reading, have a nice day.

ok...to answer ur initial question...
780 is definitely more powerful than 960...so, yes it will be a gud idea to pair it with the i5...

for the psu and peripherals, monitors, make a concerted list of wat kind of budget u have for each part, and we can try to provide u some suggestions...
Even though I've always liked and recommended Seasonic PSUs, as well as having owned several of their S12II line, I couldn't possibly recommend one of those for an ITX build. I used to run one of those 520W models in a Cooler Master Elite 110 (slightly larger but similar overall size to your Sugo), and keeping the thick coils of excess cable tucked neatly out of the way of all the other hardware was a pain in the ass. I'd recommend either getting a modular unit such as one from the G-series, or better yet, just get a form-fitting SFX PSU. Silverstone makes decent units like the 450W bronze model which is usually around $70 +/- $5.

I actually forgot to mention that I already had the GTX 960 just lying around. I went to last year's Dreamhack in Austin, TX and won it in a contest.

I'm looking at about $250-$275 dollars on peripherals. If you want to help, I would love that. I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard, some kind of a decent mouse with at least 2 macro buttons, a decent headset that has decent audio as well as a decent mic, or even a pair of headphones and a standalone mic, and a 1920x1080 ~23-inch monitor that has a decent response time.

If you can recommend a specific model, I would gladly look into it and probably buy it.
