Gtx 780ti Bottleneck

Hello, I recently bought a Gtx 780ti amp edition (zotac) and i have 16gb ram and a amd a10 6800k cpu...Will that cpu bottlneck my gpu because in battlefield 4 on ultra 1920x1080 i get like 30-40 fps.

Best is to run your malware program. Norton is the best IMO. But it doesn't come free.

what do you think would be the best way to go about finding out if its malware

As theprskx2 said earlier, you should check the CPU usage while doing nothing, then when playing battlefield 4.
If it's at 1-10% when doing nothing and maxed out when playing a game, then the bottleneck is confirmed.

If its 60-80% during a BF4 session, the problem lies somewhere else.

Don't worry, You can go to task manager. There are three ways, choose the easiest for you :

1- Hold CTRL+ALT then press DELETE, then click on Task Manager, Performance Tab.
2- Hold CTRL+SHIFT then press ESC, go to Performance Tab
3- Hold START BUTTON then press R. Type in the box : taskmgr.exe , then go to Performance Tab.

In that tab, you should see multiple Sections, one for your CPU and one for your Memory. CPU usage is in %, so is the RAM.

Actually heres another clue, my Nvidia geforce experience has that optimize games thing correct? well it says i have my gtx 780ti up to date and everything BUT the "optimal settings are all practically low. I dont believe that a 780ti would be optimized on bf4 on low wtf

Try checking the CPU usage first, then we can go on verifying the integrity of the GPU if the CPU isn't the problem.

on idle just on firefox, and skype its at 54% cpu like is that even normal

That is not normal, even for a dual-core CPU.

Try using CPU-Z, then tell me the CPU Clock (in MHz)
You might be victim of AMD Cool'n Quiet downclocking the CPU.

well i know for a fact its not on the cool n quiet i have it oc'd to 4.4ghz

There is no way skype uses 50% of the CPU unless you're on a single core pentium.

I think im just gonna go with a new cpu n motherboard will i loose my windows 8.1 or will everything transfer over?

Don't worry, if you got the money, upgrade the CPU and Motherboard. You won't need to reinstall everything as long as you don't touch the hard drive.
Reinstall the drivers when finished upgrading.

Even if the problem still persists, you have a better CPU! Im pretty sure the problem is software-based, so you can fix it whenever you want.

You may loose it. Do you have an OEM version of Windows because you can' transfer it. If you have the retail copy, then call Mocrosift and it will provide you a product key over the phone.

So which motherboard and CPU?
