Good afternoon all,

So I just bought a new MSI laptop last week and decided to order one without a hard drive installed to save some money. I also purchased a Samsung 850 SSD and installed it with the windows 8.1 64 bit OS that my school has provided me and I am running into all sorts of issues with my GTX960M graphics card now.

First of all, the screen seems to be slightly blurry as if the resolution is not actually 1920 x 1080 even though the screen resolution is rated for that and the settings in windows is also set to that.

Secondly, although the graphics seem fine when using Chrome to watch Youtube or Twitch, gaming on this new laptop is ATROCIOUS! I specifically bought this rig as a step up from my 5 year old Vaio that was only getting about 30 fps in league of legends and SC2 with medium settings, but when I try and jump into games now I am lucky to get 7 or 8 fps. I really need help here!

So far I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling graphics drivers (from: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/83821/en-us) but to no avail.

I think it is also necessary to point out that in device manager I have my Nvidia card listed, but also a "Windows Basic Display Adapter", and when I look at dxdiag I see that the Nvidia card is listed under the "render" tab, but the windows basic adapter is in the "display" tab spot.

Here are my CPU-Z specs right now:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I did go through MSI's website to download all the drivers for things like the card reader and the audio adapter, but they don't have anything for this laptop (GE60 Apache) as far as video card drivers are concerned.

I thought going to the Nvidia website, that I listed above, and downloading the driver for this card would make it all better but I've got to be missing something. This laptop was supposed to be a beast and it is way worse than any other computer I've used to play league.

Thanks for your help though!

Well Unolocogringo, you're a freakin godsend.... :)

I just reinstalled the VGA drivers on that page that you linked for BOTH the Nvidia and Intel cards and it's working like a pro now. I guess I thought I didn't need the intel driver because of the dedicated card, but I was mistaken. However, that's why I love these forums, and that's why I keep coming back!

Have a great day my friend, this issue is now SOLVED!
