970 will run pretty much everything at ultra that res probably 75-90 fps if not higher.

Yeah bro. You can run every game at ultra setting at 1440p. But a GTX 970 is a bit overkill. Its mostly used for 1920x1080p gaming. I suggest you to get a GTX 760 for 1440p gaming. I've had a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-Gaming-GDD... that I used for my ROG Swift at 1440p and it did quite well. I'm using a pair of 980's now but the 970 is a great option for 1440p and can run about anything with decent visuals and good framerates.
