so i just built my first pc, loaded up cs go and went in game to see that i only get 90 fps on 1920x1080 res on low settings. However when i was doing research on this card i saw someone that had a way higher res and maxed out everything with the same cpu and gpu getting way more fps then i did. Many people are reporting problems with the gtx 970 and the vram issue and i have not yet found a fix can anyone for the love of god help me 🙁. Also not only one cs go but even on payday 2. i had super low fps while my old laptop could run it with higher fps.

ive been doing some research while i was going to bed and it seems cs go is cpu intensive but my cpu should way over 250+ fps and i beleive its limiting it somehow, however i will try and post a video to you guys showing my usage and stuff, cant as of now as im going to school.

i beleive the reason was because i was alt tabbed and i shall give me a few

Was that from within the game, or at the desktop? If that was from inside the game, then you just found your issue. Either your GPU is not being used, and the IGP is being used instead, or it is just not coming out of idle clocks.

If that is from the desktop, play the game for a few minutes first.

erm i put the game in windowed mode to take a pic during me playing i played fore a few mins and from inside the game?

Play the game as you normally do with MSI Afterburner running. Then at some point, you can exit and take a screen shot of the graphs it created while you were playing.

oh ok thats what i did then 😛

Did he fixed that or what?

I'm having same problem on these games -> The Forest, Dying Light, CS GO i can play fine, i got like 120FPS, but still this card should get like 250-300 on that! I know i don't need that much, but it should be abble to get that...something is wrong for sure....

I play GTA V fine on this config, on ultra, and those games above, low fps for nothing, same scenario too...

My Config:

Core2Quad Q8400, 4GB DDR2, GTX 970, 750W PSU

I have two monitors, Main with 1920x1080px, and second one with 1366x768px

I try with only my main monitor but still low FPS, really low, like less then 5fps some times in The Forest - MP COOP, now this game is still in alpha but still, my friend play smothly with his GTX760 2Gb GDDR5 i think...

Worst thing is, i really like those games and i really wanna play it...🙁

I never had any issues as that, not in my 15 years working with IT

Hi AkipfeR, I am wondering the same thing, if he fixed it. Same here, strong PC, but low fps in CS GO for example.

A friend of mine who knows about these things, said this is because the monitor I am playing on it's connected to motherboard integrated graphics card, not the video card. I will try this as soon I get at home. You can try it too.
