gtx 970 low gpu usage

hey guys , i have these following things
i5 4690 (using deepcool gammaxx 300 for cooling)
asus z97 pro gamer
asus gtx 970
hyperx fury 1866mhz

now actually the thing is when i play games like gta 5 ,crysis 3 and many more the gpu usage fluctuates from 30-99 and so the fps.Many of u might say that its the problem with ur psu , i know my psu is weak ,blah blah!!! But when i run furmark and prime 95 simultaneously for 20 mins , the pc never got any automatic shutdowns or so.But yep i would say my cpu gets overheated pretty soon ,although using that cooler ,in prime 95 the core temps go at 85 max which i think is a pretty big concern.. so help mee

Well since you mentioned it, what's your PSU?

There are other problems a poor psu can cause other than shutting down under load. If the psu is overvolting it can cause overheating, instability and will ultimately damage the hardware. More info would be helpful, like the case and fan setup aswell as the ambient temp of the room.

its corsair vs550
case is antec one
ambient temp of room is 26 degrees

actually card remains at 69 under full load u know strix it runs hot

Hello, Your CPU might be running into severe thermal throttling but 90 C isn't the limit for intel CPU's and it shouldn't shut itself down.
Your PSU might be giving you system too erratic voltage inputs and the CPU is protecting the whole system by tuning off and this is something you should really consider. Try monitoring your voltages and see if the readings vary a lot with OpenHardwareMonitor.

hey changed the supply to seasonic m12ii 620 and i think the problem is solved for now but got one another problem when playing advanced warfare the ram usage goes up gradually and then the game stutters even after having 120 fps
