Gtx 970 Nivida reference card Temps.

I was wondering what people were getting for max temps with the Nivida reference blower styled cooler. I was thinking about selling my Evga acx 2.0 card, and buying one of those. The overall aesthetics are way better than any of the companies cards, and I really like the green led on the side of the card.

western digital Blue Caviar or Black are good. 7200 rpm.

How big of a performance gap is there?

I highly doubt there is much of a gap between the two.

They have a slight performance difference.

WD Caviar drives come in three "colors": Blue, Black and Green.

Black has the best performance, but are also the loudest and most power hungry.

Green has the lowest performance, but is also the quietest and least power hungry.

Blue is the sweet spot between performance and resource management, hence is the most recommended for home systems.

What are you getting for temps with the h100i?

idle at 29 and game in the 30's and maybe 40

WOW thats pretty impressive my cpu gets to 55-60 in game, and idles at 35.

yeah It doesn't go over 40 running battlefield and that's at 70% load here and there

I was at first, but then I realized how hot it was getting, which was like 85 degrees, so I bought a cheapo for now and will upgrade in the future when more processing power is necessary.

but on the Hdd, SSD's are getting cheaper as well but Hdd's are dirt cheap and the only performance gain in gaming is loading times in that sense.

im also using Antec 7 thermal compound instead of the paste that came pre applied to the H100i. But had to change it cause I upgraded CPU's and had to reapply it lol

but I used the method of applying a dot to the cooler its self then spreading it in an even layer across the heat plate.

when I was using the dot method, when I would pull the cooler back off. The paste wasn't spreading across the whole CPU. Leaving the corners dry

I have the plus not the evo and i have the phantom 410 case, the paste itself doesn't need to fill the entire metal plate.

And i was looking at hdd and seen that there two other wd types purple and red what type of performance do they have?

ive seen the DIY ASUS guy putting the red ones in some gaming systems. If he was using the red ones im sure they are good too.
