Gtx 970 Nivida reference card Temps.

I was wondering what people were getting for max temps with the Nivida reference blower styled cooler. I was thinking about selling my Evga acx 2.0 card, and buying one of those. The overall aesthetics are way better than any of the companies cards, and I really like the green led on the side of the card.

but there was one spot I don't remember it dropped to like 43 during some cinematic explosion and and a big piller like thing collapsing to the ground but shot right back up!

What about with v sync off? I'm getting about 115fps average.

yeah sounds about right without v sync id have to recheck cause I like v sync lol so I always use it.

Yea i know but you just can't compare performance with out turning it off, unless you have junky hardware.

if I remember correctly I was hovering around 80 to 120 ish

You should do a quick test range because i'm curious to much of a overkill my cpu is.

ok so I di a test no v sync. I saw a minimum of 87. averaged 115 to 120. and saw a high of 160ish

and not much screen tear as I thought I should see either

So what is your cpu overclocked to? And is that 16 gb ram you have?

I wonder why intel chips hide screen tear so much better than AMD. I'm sure it has to do with keeping a much more stable fps. cause AMD dips a lot back and forth.

8gb ram @ 1600mhz. stock clocks on everything. I don't overclock. I just buy the better hardware LOL

Why go with a h100i then?

plus I like the look of the closed loop water cooler and the Maximus motherboard. pretty sweet looking

and If I ever did have the need to overclock I always can. But at stock performance I don't see the need to do so.

plus overclocking will shorten the life span of everything probly not by much but Eh. Also the performance increase from overclocking usually isn't much either.

Yes I do, but I was wondering does your red led on the chipset turn on and off when the pc is shutdown? Because when I first got it stayed on constantly.

no it does not turn off. how you get yours to turn off?

The led slowly dims until off then slowly brightens on when my pc is shutdown, do you think something is wrong with the mobo?
