GTX 980 Help

I have a Rosewell silent night 500W PSU with a 6+2 that branches out to another 6+2 for SLI. Issue is the GPU has two 6 pin connectors. Should I plug in just the 6+2, or combine the 6's together and leave out the +2 pins? Or am I going to need an adapter/diffrent cable?

you use both 6+2 cables, and on each, you leave out the +2

the +2 is meant to be used with GPUs that have 8pin connectors
