Guys.... why is this happening ?? I have the gtx 980 G1.Gaming (Gigabyte) and whenever I run a game I get the same fps avarage from any other online user... for example BF4 gives 70-100 fps on ULTRA (x4 MSAA)... but the usage is dynamic between 60-85%... Borderlands 2 max gives less than 60 fps like everybody else !! with 70-80% usage !

AC: Black flag gives 55-63 fps.. on Max (x2 TXAA)... and If I lower the AA I get same fps but lower usage... Why does this card do like this !!! srsly !

But crysis 3.. gives me 95-99% usage
with 60-80 fps
on Max settings (FXAA)

32gb Ram
Intel core-i7 3820
Windows 7 Professional

Your monitor only supports 60 FPS so the card will only push the card to 60 FPS and sometimes drop below that whenever there is a sudden influx of video performance. You are not getting 70-100 FPS in battlefield. You are getting 60. What you are experiencing is normal. You may want to get a higher resolution monitor to better utilize the video card.

man when I turn my vsync off.. I can see that I am getting 70-100 fps !!

Without V-sync, the monitor won't have any effect on your FPS, however, there are other things that can limit you. Your CPU, as good as it is, has a limit to how many FPS it can deliver in any particular game. Some have higher or lower limits. Some games even have built in FPS limiters, though that is rare.

You would most likely see improvements if you OC'ed your CPU, if possible, but your FPS are still good, even if they are being held back. Do you really need more?

Well man... I don't need more fps.. I just want the max efficiency of a card I payed 500$+ for... I think you clarified things, but do you believe that my Windows 7 might be the problem ?... and I want to know why in some games lowering Graphical settings only lowers GPU usage.. without getting higher fps... Like AA in Crysis 1 for example..

Win 7 is not the problem, at least not in 99.9% of the time. There apparently is a couple games that see some boosts due to DirectX 11.1 features, but that is extraordinarily rare.

If you lower graphical settings, and your FPS does not change, you are bottlenecked by something other than the GPU. Crysis 1 is notoriously CPU bound.

You have a $500ish CPU/motherboard setup, why is no one ever worried that they aren't getting the most out of their CPU? If you are CPU bound, that means your CPU expenditure is paying off.

i know this might not incees the fps but it will help a little

make a gaming user run nothing no tags, no Intel(R) Turbo Boost Technology Monitor, just maybe no icons, close every window before running the game and run the prersonalization in >High Contrast White<
