[SOLVED] Gtx 980 Ti Reccomended PSU

Hey guys I have a GTX 980 ti Hydro Copper, but I was wondering if my power supply is crap. It is a coonix cops-600 power supply. Is this compatible with my card or not.

Don't use it. It's an old groupregulated piece of crap. It's not even a 600w. To modern standards it's about 400w (in it's best days) because thats the power in total can be delivered on the 12v rails. A bad 400w psu is not sufficient for a system with 980Ti.

see if you can get a maybe 650-700 watt psu at least

My budget is not much I am going for some used PSU like antec or crosair and I am from Pakistan.

980ti is quite power hungry, so you might be looking to spend a fair bit on a quality power supply for it, in all honesty.

Some good models to look out for would be a Corsair CX650, CX650M, and TX650M. The 550w versions would also work too, but ideally you want more than 550w.

one more thing i am using this card on that Coonix PSU but when i start playing game card left the display is that because of PSU

That is likely to be the case, however you really won't know unless you have a proper PSU to test with to be honest.

From Antec the Earthwatts gold pro are good. The High Current Gamer gold units are also good. Additionally the Neo eco gold zen units are pretty decent afaik.

Some older Antec units such as the high current gamer 520w bronze were based on SeaSonic M12ii and will work in a pinch, but are not ideal. These units are still much better than your current unit.
