My gtx 1080ti stopped working one day after a driver update, turned the system off and when i came back it was showing a vga light, tried every fix under the sun from resetting cmos to disassembling gpu and still nothing, also tried it in a different system and it also didnt boot, left it for a week and today I randomly decided to plug the pc in and it booted as normal,i was gobsmacked as I thought my gpu was dead, played a game and it was fine and updated drivers again,i turned it off to reconfigure my bios and went to start it again and no boot and vga light is on again, any ideas as to what could be causing the issue?

My system specs are as follows
Cpu:ryzen 5 2600
Ram:2x corsair vengeance 8gb 3200mhz
Gpu:aorus gtx 1080ti
Psu:corsair tx850m
Storage:seagate barracuda 2tb hdd Wd blue 500gb ssd
Mobo:b450 gaming pro carbon ac

Sounds like your GPU has gone bad on you, especially considering you tried it in a completely different machine and it didn't work. Granted, it worked once after putting it back into your build but it may not again.

Time to replace.

I would see if you can get it start again, and if it does, attempt a vBIOS flash to the latest. Nothing really to lose trying, and that can occasionally bring a card back.
yeah probably the best bet,i had this issue when i bought it 2 years ago and i started it and it ran fine up until now

I bet it's a hardware issue. Have you tried cleaning the GPU contacts, reseating the GPU, trying a different PCIe slot, updating your BIOS, and trying a different PSU?

Uhm, interesting.

Then try to update your BIOS using another computer. If the GPU is still not working after updating the BIOS, then it is likely that the GPU is defective and needs to be replaced.

(Try running your PC without the GPU installed, connecting your monitor to the motherboard's video output ports, and borrowing a GPU from someone else to see if you can confirm that the GPU is the problem.)

Did try a different gpu and my pc fired up as normal and my 2600 doesnt have integrated graphics,my best bet as of now is to see if i can get it started and update the vbios,if not ill maybe try a repair service as i cant really afford to replace a gpu right now
