How do you configure your guest acount on XP Home edition
to get on the internet? My ISP is AT&T. Whe I click on
the icon to log in while on the guest account I get a
mewssage that says dial up networking and modem not set
up.

Hi Ben,

Take a look here.
Keep a Dial-Up Connection Open for All Users
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/tips/may02/theriot1.asp

Dial-up connections might terminate while switching users. To prevent
that, download:

it's probably best you don't use the Guest account for internet access.
the Guest account is a member of the Everyone group, and by default
the Everyone group has access to every file on your PC in XP Home edition.

of course, this can all be changed, because defaults can be changed.
but it is just simpler, faster and safer to set up a new Limited User
account, using Control Panel, than the figure out all the defaults,
switches, check boxes, and permissions you have to change to finagle the
Guest account to safely use the internet, not to mention the extra steps
involved in ordinary use since an ordinary account must connect and
disconnect on behalf of the Guest.
