my old system was:
Q6700
8GB ddr3 (2 sticks of 4GB)
Asus P5G41C-mlx
Radeon HD 7850 2GB OC edition

i did a deal with a friend of mine and it's exchanging parts
i gave him my old CPU and motherboard with 4GB ddr2 memory (i kept the 8GB ddr3) and a old seagate 320GB HDD and got in return:
Asus B85M-G
intel pentium G3258
and 2 sticks of 4GB ddr3 memory

my new system is:
G3258 1150
Asus B85M-G
16GB ddr3 (after adding my ddr3 memory from my last system)
Radeon HD 7850 2GB OC edition

guess i did well with this deal
or did i?

and soon i will purchase a new core i5 4690K

Well, so long as the mismatched memory modules are playing nicely together, it's not bad, I guess, though going from 4 cores down to 2 hurts a bit. Probably the main win is a system with far fewer hours on it, and the ability to upgrade the CPU to something useful. Unless you're planning on buying a new motherboard, though, the "k" version of the 4690 is probably a waste of money, since you'll need a Z series motherboard to overclock it.

So the i5 4690 should be more than enough?
i'm not thinking of OCing anytime soon
turbo boost is pretty enough for me

Great, thanks a lot!
and as you said from 4 cores to 2 cores is the worst part but as i saw online that the G3258 is somewhat about 5% quicker than the Q6700
