I decided to clone an old 2TB HDD onto my 4TB WD. i used this item which which has a physical 'cloning' button, independent of my windows 8. It kinda worked but did i not know that it would clone EXACTLY the 2tb drive. In other words, it completely formatted the 4TB to have a 1.81TB working partition (exactly the size of the old hdd) and a 1.83tb unallocated space which is currently unusable. if you add those numbers up, it adds up perfectly to the initialy 3.64TB available but i cannot use the latter at all!

There are no options avaliable for that unallocated space on disk manager and i even downloaded EASEUS partition Master and was unable to restore it.
what can i do guys? thanks

Welcome to the TH community, Jason!

This is most probably because you've initialized the 4 TB WD drive with MBR. This partition table has a limit of 2 TB. This is most probably why you are unable to allocate the other 2 TB of your hard drive. I'd recommend you to back up your data from there somewhere else and reformat the HDD again. However, this time, make sure you initialize the 4 TB with GPT (GUID partition table). Once you do that, you can attempt the cloning procedure again and see if you'd be able to allocate the other 2 TB afterwards.
You can use these two tutorials from our knowledge base if you need help with the procedure:
