Eddy -

as unofficial host of c.s.i.p.g.w-h do you maintain a Troll Hall of Fame
somewhere? We certainly have a contender.

<Sigh> - we haven't had a good troll in here for years - I keep telling
some of the posters here to stop trampling on the little trolls but
instead feed and nourish them so we too can have our own troll - just
like the other ng's. But do they listen ? Noooo - a little troll shows
up here and he gets buried under an avalanche of witty insults and
abuse straight away. People in here can be so cruel to harmless little
trolls it brings tears to my eyes.

<sniff> I think we may have already killed him, the poor thing. I'm
writing to Greenpeace to ask if maybe they can patrol this ng to
prevent this slaying of innocent little trolls.

Seeing as this is a thread about the newsgroup - has anybody heard from
Old Salt recently? Is he still around? I remember with fondness his
brave attempts to police the old pre c.s.i.p.g.w-h group. When did
c.s.i.p.g.w-h split away from c.s.i.p.g.strategic BTW? Around 96? 97?
I've also noticed that Henri Arsenault has completely disappeared over
the last few years. He used to write some interesting AARs.

Going down memory lane here I know. General nostalgic ramblings.

He posted a few weeks ago on something...

Oh, he's still around :) makes an appearance now and again, his blood-
pressure is better now that he doesn't take it so personal anymore.

Yeah, flamewars always look nice in retrospect :)

97?

Getting old :)

On a sabbatical after too much political bickering in here - he still
posts occasionally in the strategic group but he really should make a
come-back in here as this is his real home <getting nostalgic here
myself>

He sure did - that was even my main argument to convince him to stay.

Ramble on :)
