Is Halo 2.5 going to be a download from Xbox Live? That sux for people that
don't have Xbox live. Microsoft really finds way of screwing their
customers. At least with PS2 you don't have to pay for any live service.

"At least with PS2 you don't have to pay for any live service."

Exactly. They just make you buy a $10 magazine for one new Socom II map.
For all three levels you are spending over $30.

If it where true Xbox live is 150 times better then Sonys online service
could ever be espically beacuse Sony made it possible for everyone who play
Final Fantasy and then doesnt support it later on down the line. Microsoft
at least trys to make compatible ideas work.

Good job too seeing as they don't offer a service worth paying for. I did
try it out but since then I've never used my PS2 again online, give me Xbox
Live every time.

If we were to release some additional content for Hallo (regardless of
version) then it is perfectly reasonable to release it via Live either as
regular content (free) or Premium Content (charged for). Since that is what
we have already done for numerous other games.
The problem with your pseudo question come statement, is that there is no
such thing as Halo 2.5 so you are just speculating wildly.

Actually Halo 2.5 has been mentioned as an Xbox 2 system launch title. You

What's "TROLLAGE" about me asking a question? Trolling would be me coming
in here and calling you a nerd and insulting everything about Xbox . . that
would be stupid since I own an Xbox. I just get upset at Microsoft

But you don't have to get that game if you don't want to buy the stuff for
that game . . you still don't have a monthly charge for the live service.

It's like you people like getting kicked in the crotch or something . . I
pay for Xbox live and I love it . .but I hate having to pay for it when PS2
people don't have to pay for the live service. My friend has it, and I've
played it at his house and it's just as good as Xbox Live is.

Xbox is charging every one 50 dollars a game or more, can you comprehend
how much money that is world wide? Why in the heck do they need to charge
us an additional amount to play live . . we should have the privilege only
because we pay for the games.

I feel like I'm in the freakin twilight zone when I get on the internet and
try to reason with internet people.

Mike I've read it on G4TV, they've talked about it on the station, I've read
it in game mags, I've read it on websites . . more people (even the kiss ups

Yes and the same thing happed with the September 9th rumour - a few people
start talking about something and it spreads and spreads and no one bothers
to check the facts because "they heard it from a source" etc.
Juts look at these website and rumour mills they all eventually carry the
same stuff as one site says one thing the others don't want to be seen to be
not up to date so they carry the same stuff.

As I said until we announce something concrete this is all just rumour and
speculation.

Really ? Well these newsgroups are from our perspective dead - we have
already removed all the others and the remaining 4 are only here until the
posting rate drops off. This was discussed by my colleague John Eddy in the
general Xbox group. This is because we ant you all to move to he forums on
www.xbox.com.

Since you are still doubting my credentials - let me point out a few simple
things.
My posting host for my messages is inside the Microsoft corporate network -
probably one of our servers in the Dublin network operations center. No non
employee could use these systems.
Secondly I have been active in the microsoft.public.* groups for over 3
years.
Where as you using your current details started posting on July 27 2004 and
have only made a total of 24 posts this year and last to the
microsoft.public.xbox.games and microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admin
groups
At the end of last year I also participated in the series of 10 Active
Directory TechNet chat sessions online as a subject matter expert - feel
free to check them out and my bio at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/chats/trans/default.mspx

As regards you having problems getting into contact with Microsoft - that
really depends on what you want to do.
If you are having issue with Xbox then http://www.xbox.com/en-us/support/
(there are country specific ones) will provide the contact details
For General Microsoft product support then a large range of contact methods
and support options exist
http://www.microsoft.com/services/microsoftservices/supp.mspx

What in particular are you trying to contact Microsoft about ?

They charge us an additional amount to play live because we are willing to
pay for it.

It is their responsibility to make as much revenue as the market will supply
for their products and services to they can maximize the profit sent back to
their shareholders. Giving away an on-line service that people are ready
and willing to pay for would be irresponsible behavior.
