Hello,

I'll be building my computer next week.I didnt buy an anti static wrist band, but I know enough to touch metal like the case, before touching anything else like the mobo or CPU.

What is the best way to insert my motherboad in... well, first I install the cpu and heatsink right.... do I then grab it by the corners?

Is it okay to grab it from the northwood chipset because I always do that whenever I put the MB into the case.?

If you install your power supply first and leave the switch off (naturally) but plugged into a grounded outlet, you will have a better chance of discharging any static build-up to ground when you touch an unpainted metal portion of the case.
Yes, install the cpu/hsf and memory while the board's on an insulated flat surface (like the box it came in or the cusion it rested on). Discharge yourself occassionally on a grounded surface. You might want to slide your hand under the board to guide it into the case. Just be sure to discharge beforehand. One more thing... make sure you don't have an extra unused standoff in behind the board when you install it.
