Hard disk failure issue

Hello,
i am unable to boot my machine... is there an issue with hard disk?? i had changed it twice.. bt still system failed to boot the xp.. what will be the reason?? is there any problem with the mother board?? what should i do now???

Need more details, how exactly is it not booting, at what point? Error messages, etc...

Actully it takes more time to copy the files from CD and when actual formating starts... it shows message saying.. "your hard disk might be crashed..." something like that...!!! i changed the hard disk after that... but problem is still there... why so???

Did you replace it with a new drive or an old one you had? Maybe check the cables.
