I cannot seem to locate this information concerning my Sony Vaio Laptop. My question is this, i have the intel centrino processor duo core 2, T5550 @1.67, and i was wondering what kind of maximum memory can my laptop handle? Also, I have a 160gb hard drive and a tech guy at best buy said i could go up to 320gb but is that the limit, or can my computer handle 500 or even 1TB hard drive?

Thanks,

Dallasjoh, I have been to Sony multiple times and even called them to no avail. The site does describe my computer but does not state anywhere on how much i can upgrade my hard drive. I have checked out many sites and spent over a few hours each day for a couple days with no answer. I called best buy and they had no answer. I called Geek squad and they said only 250 unless you have a dual hard drive port. But prior to that, i went into Best Buy this past week and they guy there said about 320gb. So i gotten two different answers from the same company and then you have not given me anything either. I am trying to learn up on anything and everything about computers, so this is all new to me but i have spend many hours reading and researching and getting different answers. Thank you for not helping me!

So if anyone else has a sound answer, i would greatly appreciate it. My computer is a Sony Vaio VGN-AR320E, T5550 @ 6.67 Intel Centrino Duo 2 Core with 160gb hard drive.

There shouldn't be an actual limit, aside from the largest currently made. If you have a SATA port, you should currently be able to use up to 500GB, but that limit is only because that is the largest currently available.
