Hello

I am purchasing a Satellite P105 9312 motherboard in the stead of my current Toshiba P105 S6004 motherboard. (It is the most I can afforrd currently outside of a new laptop)

The specs for the 9312 motherboard from Toshiba for the HDD are 4200rpm, 12.5mm, and my current HDD is 5400rpm, 9.5mm, will it work or is it too fast?

Where would I find the max HDD expansion for ths motherboard?

Solution
Yeah, LBA 48 should let you into the petabyte region, you'll never need that though. Safe to say to just get a 1TB 5400RPM drive.
If you get a 7200RPM drive it will throttle back to 5400RPM I believe.

As for storage it depends on the controller on your board, your OS, and the HDD in question, you should be able to put a 1TB HDD without trouble. But let me try to find more info on what controller that has.
