I recently built a pc. The specs are as listed:
i7 5930k
MSI X99S SLI Plus
Phantecks cooler
EVGA GTX 970
EVGA 600 B 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply
128 GB ADATA SP600 (8.1 is on that)
Segate 2TB Hard drive

I went into the bios Settings\Boot\Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities and on the option 2 it showed [SATA7:ST20000DM00...]
I then went to the disk management and the drive was not there. Nothing showed up other than the SSD and the disk drive. Also when I go to "This PC" all that shows up is the SSD and the disk drive. Can someone help me out please?

connect the drive in to any sata port between 7-10, i am not sure if all sata ports controlled by the chipset. maybe where you connected it is not controlled by chipset (maybe marvell or any other chip) and must be enabled in the bios but 7-10 is just for AHCI or IDE hdds no raids.

That's a very nice system...
Just on the odd chance that you may be dealing with a defective HDD, probably a good idea to test it with Seagate's SeaTools diagnostic for Windows.
You've indicated the drive is detected in the BIOS/UEFI, right? Is it also listed in the "Disk drives" section of Device Manager?
You've tried connecting the disk to another SATA port? Tried another SATA data cable?
Do you happen to have a USB external enclosure (or another PC) in which to install the HDD and test it that way?

I just went over to a friends house to plug it into his system and it worked. Now we know that it's not DOA. We did a quick format and it also worked. Now all I have to do is put it in my system to make sure that it works. Also, it didn't pop up in the bios. My bad.

I changed the sata port and power. It didn't work. I went over to a buddys house and plugged it into his PC and it worked. We formatted it and everything. It worked perfectly fine. I still have no idea why it's happening. I might just RMA the motherboad.
