Hard drive problem

My pc doesnt recognise my hard drive,but when i connect it to another pc it does recognise it which means the harddrive is fine,i tried switching cables and that didnt solve the problem,i thought it was sonething with the motherboard but is it possible that the m-board recognise everything excrpt my hard deive?(recognises cpu dram info fans)
