Question Hardware diagnostic software

Hi all

Please can someone tell me if a software like Furnmark can tell you that theres physically something wrong with your gpu,cpu as they are just numbers?I mean Furnmark you stare and look into the eyeball whats that going to help?For instance if you have an overheating graphics card or cpu and you no either one of them is faulty because of gaming performance or crashing etc.but then the tests say they are both within normal range I.e 70 C. but performance is low and high temperatures are visible by other applications I.e MSI AFTERBURNER.Can you take those facts without physically checking the hardware,like the cu or alu and say your hardware is fine but infact its not?This is related to warranty claims

Any advice would be great

cpu/gpu would throttle down if overheat
check cpu/gpu temp and the freq they are running at
