Hi there.
I recently installed Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on my PC, cause I wanna marathon run all the games but when I launch it,it plays way to fast, they talk in normal speed but the video is so fast that it cuts of their dialog in cut scenes, and when I run he runs wayyy to fast and the camera is way to fast, almost cant control it.
I read somewhere when I googled this problem that it was something with dual cores being to much for the game back in 2001.. But I have 8 cores. And compatibility mode does nothing. I have Win 10 atm, but I've tried it on 7 and it was the same. Its a long shot but wanted to check in here if you guys have any ideas.
Thanks // Caroline

Solution
Have a look at this. This shows how to set CPU affinity for an individual program. This way you can force it to a single core.

Set CPU affinity

If the issue is really a multicore issue, this should help. However it's more likely a pacing issue which can also be worked around. Let me know if this works or not.

Wow that actually fixed it, thanks so much:)
