Have issues with laptop keyboard back-lit which is white and highly illuminating. I was suggested in Tom's that i could soldier new led's to change the color. Wanted to know if i can paint these led's with translucent color way easier method to follow if possible.

What make and model laptop? Is it yours? Can you afford to get a new screen put in?

legion y540 can put film but it will stop air flow i am using keyboard protector currently to reduce intensity of light.
Is it difficult to paint the led's ?

I've never heard of Legion. You could just put silver paint on some of them.

Have seen videos on laptop keyboard assembly i guess the led's are permanently locked with plastic rivets, we have to break it to get access to led's.
Just wanted to understand from tom's experienced assemblers.

I have never tried to repair a laptop keyboard. But I've dissasemble my own PC keyboards to clean them. Laptop keyboard would be harder to do.
