Any thoughts< I have bad eyes and cant make my own, does this sound like a good idea or just keep the drives USB 3.0

The chassis should have room for 2 3.5" drives already.
  • 2 ( 2 ) x Internal - 3.5"
That would likely be either a hard mount to the bottom of the interior there, or on the back of the motherboard tray.

You might want to take a look at all the interior space before purchasing that.

I would need to see pictures of the chassis in detail to say.

I suspect they have through the bottom mounting hiding somewhere that isn't obvious. Maybe under the 2.5" drive mounts.

Honestly seems easier to just get a new chassis that has the hard drive cages you want. For $60 you can get some pretty nice chassis. Transfer the components over and call it a day.

There are services that will build a system for you from supplied parts. Just depends on how you want to spend the money.

You can also just double sided tape the drives to the back of the motherboard tray if you wanted to. Or do the same in the empty space at the front. Four small squares of tape would do and still make it relatively easy to remove.
