Have to spam ON button while turning on the power supply button

It started today when i put my PC into sleep mode, came back couple hours later it wouldn't turn on.
After taking the ram in and out, it started working, completely fine.

Fast forward couple hours later i force power off my PC because the whole thing froze because of this game i was playing taking up too much ram. It wouldn't turn on again even with the ram thing, tried clearing CMOS, still no resolve.

Then i furiously spammed the power ON button while turning the power button on off a couple times and it worked, this solution has worked multiple times.

-I've also plugged the power cable into a different outlet.
-Have also tried using minimum equipment plugged in.
-Have checked the internal wires are plugged in properly.
-perhaps power button broken?
-power supply seems fine, when motherboard is given power, keyboard lights up to show power received, case has no lights unfortunately.

Sounds like the power button. Pull the connection to the POWER_SW on the motherboard and jump it with something metal like a screwdriver. If this works consistently then its going to be the power button.

You need a new PSU. Shutting off while gaming, not being able to be consistently turned on? Stop using it and replace the PSU.

Sounds like the power button. Pull the connection to the POWER_SW on the motherboard and jump it with something metal like a screwdriver. If this works consistently then its going to be the power button.

I managed to do it just one, every other attempt failed to work. The spam method still working.

Ill see what i can do about this. at the moment i have none handy, meantime ill see if there any chance the problem is caused by some other nature.

That would be why I had you do that Then it really sounds like the PSU is having an issue if the short power on inst consistent.

I guess a new PSU is at hand, im gonna see if i can borrow one to really confirm the issue before buying a brand new one. Thanks both for the help!
