I have an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.30 GHz for my CPU and a Geforce GTX 1660 ti with Max-Q design for my GPU. When playing games initially I found that I was getting 2 or 3 frames on games like Rust or Call of Duty, so I switched my power options to High Performance which allowed me to play those games at about 120 fps, but now whenever I play those games specifically Call of Duty every minute or two my CPU will go to 100% and it will make my game run at about 3 fps for like 20 seconds then go back to 120 frames.
Now I realize a simple solution to this would just be to get a better CPU but I have a laptop so that would mean I would have to get a whole new motherboard, since the CPU is sautered into the motherboard. If anyone has any other solution to this I would appreciate it because the constant frame spikes are getting really annoying especially in competitive video games.
