Where to start? I have T mobile as my phone provider. I am in a very rural area and only have one choice as a ISP and phone company. I have recently lost my wife who handled all of this and now I am trying to figure out what to do. When I switched my T Mobile account to my name and only kept the phone I needed, they shut off my extender rendering it useless. I was able to switch to WiFi calling and that worked for awhile. Then my ISP (phone company) had a glitch and we lost service for a day. When they came back online. my linksys wireless router had lost it's mind and no longer works. It didn't even have the old name or password any longer. I lost my ability to make calls from inside the house completely. I have been able to connect to the ISP's router in the basement now, however, it is a weak signal and only gives a little help depending where I am in the house. My phone shows a signal strength of -120db.
Will a new wireless router likely solve the issue or is there something else I should try first? Any advice would be appreciated. Also I am not wanting to spend a fortune on new equipment so, a cheaper fix would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I believe you need to start with a call to T-Mobile to get your cell services restored.
