It seems as if the power supply or my gpu has screwed up since i built the new system. My radeon 5850's fan tries to move but then just wiggles a little bit, stops and wiggles again. Everything was working perfectly a fee hours ago. I cleaned the dust and a thumb screwdriver fell through the card.

All fans except a 3pin noctua fan is not working in my ivy bridge mobo there are only 4 pin fans and i have 2 pin connectors from my psu. Even though there about 3-4 other fans which have 3 pin they work well with a 1pin.

Other things to note, my main 24 pin connector to my mobo has lost 1 from the connector of the psu.

Right now i, rly desperate and i tried two diffrent plugs for the radeon 5850 the fan behaves the same way.

Thank you all

edit: the PSU fan seems to be spinning and then spinning weakly over and over again. Im really afraid now i probably turned the power on and off many times to test the setup. Is any of my components potentially damaged? PSU seems to be dying now 🙁....

If the system was powered up when the screw fell, then you could have shorted the GPU or the motherboard.

Being Mr Sneaky, I would test the PSU first, then the mobo with a new GPU and if it works, RMA the GPU, if it doesn't RMA the motherboard etc etc etc and play dumb when they ask questions.
