Hello,
Hello guyz,
i am going to buy Radeon HD 6850 (yeah,i know i decided to get a 6790 but i have now increased my budget and am getting a 6850 😀 )
can my Cooler Master Elite Power 460 watt with 1 PCI-e 6 pin connector handle this card?
Please reply fast!
Thank you ^_^

about your psu, this is not a recommended psu, this psu is actually 400 watts, the only difference between CM Elite power 400 watt and 460watt is the retification bridge, also there is no OCP protection on this psu (and in the box says otherwise), and the tests says that psu can handle max 420watt.

and if you read in amd website the 6850:
-500 Watt or greater power supply recommended

So i would first change the psu.

thank you.......but if it's too important to change my PSU .....i can sell my current one and get a Corsair cx 500 ....will that be good??

i am not overclocking at all......i dont need overclocking i think with 6850 😉
age of my PSU might be shorter or GPU?

that is something called capacitor aging:
http://www.johansondielectrics.com/technical-notes/general/ceramic-capacitor-aging-made-simple.html

if i were you i would see the benchmarks of this PSU:
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-Elite-Power-460-W-Power-Supply-Review/1005

and here you see 6850 recommendations:
http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/amd-radeon-hd-6000/hd-6850/pages/amd-radeon-hd-6850-overview.aspx#3

you are going under the recommendations from amd, you can go for it, but i also don't recommend, if it was some good brand, but that psu is really not recommended.

you are also going against yourself:
ummmm....changed my mind.....only getting the 6850.....i think my PSU is enough.....with the Phenom IIx4 955 BE 125 watts.....
see http://www.guru3d.com/article/his- [...] 0-review/8

in this article
(Radeon HD 6850 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 450 Watt power supply unit. )

and like you read on the reviews up there you wil see this psu can handle at max 419watts
