Okay, I've had my Visiontek HD3870X2 for over a year now, no problems, used to get good temps on it, 30's-40's, for some reason now my temp in one core is in the 100's, and the other is 80 or the same as the other core when playing games, I've even BSOD'd a few times recently. I've taken it out, dusted it, I've checked all the fans in my case, which seem to be working fine, what do you think? I've had the fan speed adjusted in rivatuner.

Well, when I say cores, I mean when I look in CC and see select GPU to configure and get two options. HD3870X2 (this one goes up to 80, sometimes 110 or more but very rarely)

or same thing except it has [Sceptre X24WG] after it (thats the one thats been running the hottest), which is the name of my monitor.

Any ideas here would be greatly appreciated.

does it show the same kind of readings via GPU-Z. try enabling the logging feature for sometime while you game and check if you see abrupt temperature changes.

is your gpu overclocked by any chance? try running them on default settings then.

Nope, didn't do that. And all my drivers are up to date, and I always check my fan speed.

Nope, it's not overclocked, and I'm positive I'd get the same readings from GPU-Z, but nonetheless I'll check it. Okay I'll try the HSF thing, too bad I have no thermal paste, or a smaller screw driver, guess I'll have to buy a new one.
