[SOLVED] HDD invisible - power and sound but no device recognition

Hard drive not showing but powered and sort of recognised by the computer.

A hard drive that was working and contains files has stopped registering when connected to the PC.

The drive powers up (I can hear and feel it is powered) and when connected to the PC, drastically slows booting and explorer, although the OS is on another drive.

Drive does not show up in device management and does not show in drive manager.

Connected to multiple windows 10 PCs by SATA.
Have tried alternate cables and have checked the heads are not stuck.

1TB Samsung ST1000LM024 1TB 2.5" SATA Hard Drive.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Samsung drives have a diagnostic port that can be accessed via a cheap USB-TTL adapter. This will enable you to see what is happening.

Suggestion #1, throw in garbage.
Suggestion #2, recycle for magnets.
