Hey all,
I am having a problem with a HDD not being detected at all by the mobo and I have no idea how to fix it. I disconnected and reconnected everything. The HDD powers up and I can hear it working, but on the board explorer in the bios, there is nothing displayed in sata 1. I tried the other sata ports as well but to no avail.

Build= http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/yXnCbj

This is a budget build my friend wants to buy from me I started it for a little PC I could take with me (the case is tiny and has a handle) but I never finished it. He wants to buy it off me, he just wants it for general web browsing and light gaming. It originally had 1tb hdd but I put that in my i5 skylake build. Thanks for the help. :)

Hey there, LordNyxx.

Sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your drive. :\

The good thing here is that at least there's no important data on it. So I'd recommend that you give it a go with your other build as well, to see if it's recognized properly. If it is, you could download DLG (Data Lifeguard) and run both tests (Quick and Extended), to see if there's anything alarming: How to test a drive for problems using Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows.

Please let me know how everything goes.
