HDD not showing up in disk management or bios

i recently overhauled my PC and i used my two hard drives from my old computer and the SSD is showing up just fine and works but the HDD is no where to be found. i have checked the bios, disk management, and yes everything is plugged in i triple checked, and the hdd is running i can fell it spinning when i put my hand on it. i am completely clueless on what to do

Have you checked the HDD to see if it shows up in DISKPART when using CMD?

wd blue thats all i know and no its not current i just got the pc up and running about an hour ago ill update now

i do have a second hdd i can trow in and see if that one works

let me guess, z170 mobo with a m.2 ssd? need to read the spec on the mobo to see which sata port get disabled when you have a m.2 ssd.

i have them plugged into port 1 and 2 its says the 5 and 6 would be disabled

did you try port 3 and 4?
and what the settings on sata mode in bios?
