I have a WD 4tb internal drive which I have had since earlier this year for storage on my PC running windows 7. I have no issues with this drive and it worked well until earlier today, I was transferring a folder, about 5.5gb with a dozen or so files which I accidentally deleted from it's original location as well as from the recycle bin before it finished transferring.

Since then, I have had trouble with the backup drive being slow to respond, occasionally showing the Not Responding text before whichever folder or file I click on opens.

I have reset my pc, done a benchmark and quick error scan on HDtune as well as an error scan on the windows diagnostic tool in the properties menu when I right click the drive. Everything seems normal according to the results and I have been able to move and transfer files from the drive to another backup at regular speeds. On Event Viewer, I see this iaStorAC warning but I've been getting it frequently on this pc and drives on and off, so I don't know if it's related.

The only issue remains the slow opening of files and folders when I try to click on them or open them.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

What OS are you working with? Pertaining to the error on Intel's TRST, can you please parse the error for us to see?

Thanks for the quick response. I'm running windows 7 home premium. I don't know about the other stuff you mentioned, there are no error messages that I'm aware of, i did a search on the TRST you mentioned but did not find anything pertinent to my case...
