I am trying to fix my mom's computer after she stopped getting signal to her monitor. I've followed all the steps to troubleshoot, reseating, unplug, cmos etc. I finally decided to try a different hard drive and finally got to bios. I was able to put windows on it and had it all set up again for her. I left it on for a few hours to make sure it was good. I then took it back to her and set it up and no display again so I reformatted the new SSD again and restarted the whole process. It was working fine again on her monitor until i unplugged it and moved it where it belonged and no signal again. I've now done this several times with the same result. Removing the SSD completely and restarting will not get me to bios, it only seems to work with a freshly formatted hd.
