[SOLVED] HDD wont appear in windows.

I have a 1Tb laptop HDD. It had recently stopped working. When I put it in a machine it doesn't appear. Disk Management wont appear while its plugged in, file explorer has it as a G drive, but can't click on it and it disappears after a few minutes. The drivers are up to date, as it does show up in device manager.

Device is an HGST 1 Tb 7200rpm 6Gb/s Laptop HDD.

Try shutting down your pc then remove the hdd sata cable then boot up your pc then shut it down and reinstall the sata cable and it should come up it disk management.
