HDD Write and Read Speed.

I have a WD Black 1TB HDD. It is supposed to get up to 600Mb/s transfer rate. I tested the drive with Defragler and only got about 32Mb/s. I don't know much about HDDs. How can I improve the speed of drive? or can I?

Make sure that your not comparing MB/s versus Mb/s

Minimum's are under 70 on both, max is 141 ish

Just checked and I'm getting 31MB/s
Maybe a defraging program isnt the best way to test the drive. What other HDD benchmark programs are there?

If you want to compare "apples and apples", why not use the bencharks in the link above
