Hello there,

I have a real weird problem. I'll try to describe it as much as i can.

I am using my vga monitor with vga to hdmi active converter.
And i am using my onboard soundcard for audio. (3,5 mm)
Until last week i was able to get sound from my sound card and video from my monitor.
But recently when i am gaming i get no audio. There are no problems with other apps like winamp chrome, this happens only when i am gaming.
I' ve already checked my sound settings and make my speakers default and disabled
hdmi audio.
When i connect my speakers to audio out of hdmi converter, i get sound while i am gaming but not from sound card.
I dont know what to do beacuse it was work like a charm. But suddenly it stopped working.
I've just ordered a DVI - D to VGA adapter, it may be the solution since dvi wont carry audio at all.
But i need to now why this is happening.

By the way when i go to audio settings in CS-GO and change the speaker settings (doesnt matter which option) it started to give sound but still no sound when i relaunch the game.

Things i tried so far;

Downgrade to old video drivers,
i even downgrade bios ( because i was updated bios recently)
Speakers are default.
Disabled hdmi audio.

Specs;

Windows 10
z170a gaming carbon mobo
gtx 1070

Thanks...

i am using my onboard hd audio as i said.

have you tried just removing the sound card ??[remove from the pci e slot ] and just use the realtek audio from the motherboard ?

you could be having conflict ??

also sounds like it could be a in the game issue if its doing it in the game only as you say ??

may try to reinstall the game to see if there was a corrupted sound file affecting things ?
