Question HDR monitor not working after CMOS reset

I have been using two monitors with no issues, 1 HDMI, 1 HDR. I had to clear my CMOS this morning and now I'm not able to get my HDR monitor to work unless i plug the HDMI cable into it, but I need the HDMI cable for the other monitor to use both.

My HDR monitor starts working ONLY when I plug the HDMI cord into it. The display goes away once I unplug the HDMI cord. The HDR monitor was working fine with the HDR cable up until i reset CMOS. Now HDR monitor only works with HDMI cable for whatever reason.

Any idea how to get this resolved? Thank you for your help.

The HDR monitor was working fine with the HDR cable
there is no such thing as an "HDR" cable.
you mean either DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, etc..?

how to get this resolved?
sometimes ports just die.
sometimes cables just stop transferring data at a high enough bandwidth.

try the display with another system that offers HDR and see if it works there.
also try multiple cables of the same type.

it's a displayport cable, not "HDR" cable.
