I am trying to take my 120 gig harddrive out of an old homebuilt 566mhz
machine and put it into a Dell 1.8ghz box that I was given. I swtiched the
harddrive, video card and sound card but when I boot up it gives me this
BSOD error code:

0x0000007E (0xC0000005 0xF9B33AD9 0xF9E85778 0xF9E85478)

What is the best way to do it. I have toooo many programs installed on the
old machine to start from scratch.

TIA.

You need to do a repair operation on this. Boot off your XP CD, choose
to Install Windows, it will find the existing Windows installation and
offer to repair it, press R to repair and go from there. It won't work
currently because there are too many hardware changes including the
motherboard (mainly) ;)
