Help confirming My Gaming PC Build.

Hey everyone. Below is list of all the components i've gathered in the past fe days and would like you to give me your opinion and answer as many question as you can.

CPU:
Intel Core i7 i7-4790K CPU (Quad Core 4GHz, Socket H3 LGA-1150)

GPU:
MSI NVIDIA GTX 980 Gaming Graphics Card (4GB, PCI Express, 256 Bit)

MB:
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING-5 - GIGABYTE INTEL LGA1150 Z97 4*DDR3 6*USB3.0 8*USB2.0 HDMI DVI-I DSUB ATX MOTHERBOARD.

Ram:
HyperX FURY Series 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1866MHz CL10 DIMM Memory Module Kit - Black

PS:
Corsair Professional Series AX 760 Watt ATX/EPS Fully Modular 80 PLUS Platinum Power Supply Unit.

Storage:
Samsung 2.5-Inch 250 GB 850 EVO Solid State Drive

Storage:
Western Digital Black - 3.5 inch 1TB Desktop SATA Hard Drive - OEM

OS:
Microsoft Windows 8.1x64 English Intl 1 Pack DSP OEI DVD (PC)

Questions:
1. Are all the parts fully compatible ?
2. Is the Operating system good for gaming or is there a more preferable version ?
3. Should i change anything ?
4. I'm still looking for a case to put them in, is mid-tower case big enough or do i need a full-tower one ?
5. I'll use the standard cooling fan that comes with the CPU, (not planning to overclock) is it OK ?

2. I do not like Win 8.1, 7 is much better

4. Mid tower is fine
5. I have that cpu and it will get hot with the stock fan just an FYI.

1. Yes they are
2. 8.1 should be fine
3. You dont need 16GB RAM unless your doing video editing and rendering
4. Mid Tower is enough, make sure you have space in it
5. If you are not planning to overclock, get a non k 4790, and a good H97 board like the Gigabyte H97 Gaming 3. The stock cooler should be fine, but if your temps do get high, buy a CM 212 EVO.
