I need some advice. I can't decide on which cpu to get. I'm considering i5 4690k or i7 4790k. I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon. I play all types of games, but usually wait to buy them at a reduce price on steam never full price. My collection are from 2 or more years ago. Which cpu would last for 5yrs or more since I only buy games 1-2 yrs after they are released. I have everything I need for my gaming build but can't decide on cpu.
My parts are Asus Z97i, 16gb 2400 sniper series ram, Samsung 850 evo ssd,MSI R9 390, silverstone slim water cooler, sf600 all going inside a rvz01.
Thanks

Well after doing some research for the last two days I went with the i7 4790k. I hope it'll last me at least five or more years. I think it should since games I play are a few years old. I rarely buy lunch day releases but might get BF1 at launch. I hope I made the correct choice.

It will. As stated in my above post, you made the right choice.

Newegg is fast, bought my i7 yesterday and I got it today. I built my rig but my temps seem high. I'm using a TD03-Slim and it was a tight squeeze to fit.
Anyone have the water cooler in a rvz01? and what temps you have at stock speed?

Single 120mm AIOs are easily surpassed by any decent air cooler. What exactly are your temps?

at idle i'm getting low 50s and if i play a game goes up past 90s, so i turn off the game and temps go back to 50s.
i'm returning it back and trying another one. i tried the nitro pro by silverstone but didn't sit correctly so i bought the slim water cooler but that didn't work.

That is kind of high. AM i to understand that you don't have room for a proper cooler?
If you do, give the Cryorig H7 a try. If you don;t, have a look at the RAIJINTEK PALLAS.
