help drivers installed but no expected resolution

Please save me!
I have previously windows 7 32 bit and the graphics were 10/10 (can play agario or online games)
I have installed windows 8.1 32 bit and even updated the graphic drivers but the resolution is still poor on 1024X768(which wasnt in the previous windows)when i play games it lags
PLEASE HELP ME WHAT TO DO?
